How does it work?

There are two ways to get paid directly into your M&T Bank checking account with Autobooks payment software.

1. Send digital invoices

Autobooks makes it simple to send professional invoices directly to your customers' inboxes. As a business owner, you can personalize invoices to suit your needs, such as adding a logo and changing header colors. 

Setting up recurring invoices will help with collections, and automated reminders and late fees will help ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

2. Link to an online payment form

For small businesses that do not send digital invoices, Autobooks offers an online payment form. Each business receives their own unique link when they enroll. The payment form link can be shared through SMS, linked online, included in a social media post and more. The recipient simply clicks on the link, inputs the payment information and submits the payment.

1Autobooks is a third party service not owned or operated by M&T Bank. Autobooks is currently offered to a limited number of customers under a trial agreement until July 1, 2022. There is no monthly service fee but Autobooks charges a 2.89% transaction fee per credit or debit card transaction or a 1% transaction fee per ACH transaction, as well as a $25 fee for a rejected ACH or card chargeback. If M&T does not continue the partnership with Autobooks, business users may continue to use this service directly with Autobooks.
